The Healthy Landscapes Program, which began in 1996, is a rapidly growing network of companies, NGOs, governments and academics interested in exploring how we can collectively use Mother Nature to help design landscapes that are fully sustainable.
Who We Are
The Healthy Landscapes network includes three provincial and territorial governments (Alberta, Saskatchewan and NWT), the Alberta Conservation Association, Parks Canada, five Canadian universities, and six major forest management companies that account for more than 2/3 of the managed forest area in western boreal Canada.
What We Do
Given our broad mandate, our research projects are far-ranging. We also have some demonstration projects, educational materials, as well as some tools.
