He completed his BSc in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary, before moving to Vancouver, BC to complete his PhD in Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University. He went on to complete a Post Doc through Université Laval, working with Eliot McIntire at the Pacific Forestry Centre in Victoria, BC. He is coauthor of several R packages, including SpaDES, which he developed for large scale spatial simulations and analyses, including those used for the LandWeb project.

Program

Healthy Landscapes Program

The program, formerly known as the Natural Disturbance Program, looks at landscape change at a huge scale: Canada's boreal forest.
