Abbey is a post-doctoral fellow with fRI Research and in the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research program is focused on using contemporary molecular tools (e.g., molecular biology, proteomics, metabolomics) to identify biomarkers of health in wildlife and using these methods to monitor populations and their response to environmental change. She currently leads the health component of our integrated research project with collaborators across North America that studies the habitat, movement, and physiology of grizzly bears residing in a human-dominated landscape.
