About

Leonie Brown is an outdoor, wildlife biology, and conservation enthusiast with a BSc Hon. in Ecology from the University of Alberta. She has been with fRI Research since 2013 working for both the Grizzly Bear and Caribou Programs. Learning new field and research skills in projects that aim to improve management policies motivate Leonie to hone her craft. Most recently, the opportunity to partake in deer and grizzly bear captures and manage those project’s logistics has sparked a new passion. Outside of work Leonie has been running a market garden, she is renovating her house, enjoys working with her dog, and is looking forward to extended backcountry hiking trips in the Rockies every summer.
