Caribou's fall from cliff leaves scientists searching high and low

A February 4, 2014 article from the Jasper Local newspaper discusses the death of a caribou near Grande Cache in late January. The caribou was collared as part of a collaboration between Weyerhaeuser and AESRD. Laura Finnegan from the fRI Caribou Program and Terry Larsen from the Grizzly Bear Program, with a little help from Steve Wotton and Peregrine Helicopters, used information from the collar to track down the location of the caribou, and piece together the circumstances of her death.
