Citizen scientists will be able to help the fRI Grizzly Bear Program using a smartphone app, now in development. The app will be part of a program to encourage people to collect potential bear scat, recording the time, date and location of each collected sample. Grizzly bear sightings will also be able to be recorded using the app.
