Research Technician
The research technician will perform a combination of office and fieldwork and will assist with fieldwork planning including logistics, mapping, field equipment maintenance, and field technician training.
Office duties, based in Hinton, include classifying wildlife photos, data entry, and using software for data management. Field duties, based out of Hinton and remote field camps, include classifying forest characteristics, vegetation assessments, and camp maintenance.
Two Research Technician Positions are available.
Contract duration: April 3 to October 27, 2023
Wage: $23–25 per hour, dependent on skills and experience
Fieldwork Schedule: 9 days on; 5 days off.
Food, accommodation, and transportation will be provided while in the field. Food and accommodation during office-based work will be the responsibility of the research technician.
Field Technician
The field technician will perform a combination of office and fieldwork.
