Gord Stenhouse named one of Alberta Venture's 50 most influential people of 2014

Alberta Venture has recently released their list of Alberta’s 50 most influential people of 2014. fRI’s own Gord Stenhouse made the list for his steadfast dedication to grizzly bear conservation.  The nomination speaks not only to Gord’s ability to assemble world class research teams but his commitment to deliver tangible results for fRI partners. fRI takes great pride in conducting partner driven, unbiased, and scientifically sound research.  We are proud of the accomplishments of the fRI grizzly bear program and congratulate Gord on this latest accolade.

The Grizzly Bear Program was created in 1999 to provide knowledge and planning tools to land and resource managers to ensure the long-term conservation of grizzly bears in Alberta. Key to its efforts are sound scientific field research, practical results, and a large-scale or “landscape level” approach toward grizzly bear conservation.
