Norbord Inc. is the newest fRI Research shareholder. Norbord is an international producer of wood-based panels operating in Canada, the US, and Europe.
“We are interested in the research carried out by fRI Research on species that share our operating landbase,” says Fred Radersma, Norbord’s Woodlands Manager AB. “The knowledge and tools fRI Research generates will inform Norbord’s forest management practice.”
Of particular value to Norbord is the research carried out by our Caribou and Grizzly Bear Programs. These programs do leading, practical science on topics critical to Norbord’s forest managers such as the health of threatened species, response to habitat changes, and the most effective remediation actions available.
