Scientists begin critical research aimed at protecting Canada's at-risk caribou and grizzly bear populations

fRI’s Grizzly Bear Program and Caribou Program, with partners from the University of Saskatchewan and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, are working on research to help protect the at-risk species. Thanks to a $100,000 grant from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Conservation and Community Partnerships program, the three-year research project will look at how caribou and grizzly bears respond to linear features in a working landscape.
