Mountain Pine Beetle Ecology Program: Where are we now? | March 26, 2010 Workshop

Workshop agenda for the March 2010 Mountain Pine Beetle Ecology Program workshop.

The Foothills Research Institute’s Mountain Pine Beetle Ecology Program held a workshop on March 26, 2010 in Edmonton, Alberta, at the University of Alberta in Lister Hall and also at two remote sites one in Grande Prairie and Calgary. In total there were 68 people in attendance. The workshop began with an update on the mountain pine beetle infestation in Alberta as of February 2010. This was followed by updates on the progress of seven MPB related research projects. In follow up to the work shop the MPBEP Activity Team will be meeting to discuss future direction for MPB research in Alberta.

Many thanks to Suncor Energy and Gas Partnership, Calgary and the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce for their contributions to the success of this first workshop. Presentations from the workshop are now available on the FRI website and also are posted below.
