Who Is fRI Research?

Science with an Impact

We answer scientific questions to support better land management. For over 30 years, we have been a trusted hub for all sectors of society to work together on urgent issues. The topics we tackle are driven by the needs on the landscape. On our slate of active work, you’ll find projects focused on a single species of interest, and projects that take a whole-ecosystem approach. There are studies across Canada and collaborations around the world. What unites all these efforts is the belief that science can lead to better outcomes for species at risk and the land and water we all rely on.

As a neutral boundary organization, fRI Research also serves as a forum and connecting hub between governments, industry partners, academics, NGOs, and communities. We not only create, but also share knowledge and tools.
