Dr. Benjamin Kissinger Appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary

When Dr. Benjamin Kissinger became the Water and Fish Program Lead, he came to us most recently from the University of Calgary where he was a Research Associate in the Post Lab. Since then, he has continued to support several studies at the U of C related to his work at fRI Research.

In particular, he serves on committees as an academic advisor to MSc students Emily Franks, who is looking at hybridization between brook and bull trout, and Tara Lepine, who is testing a new method of bull trout translocation. In addition, Dr. Kissinger is collaborating with Dr. Angus Lothian on how land management and fisheries management are changing fish occupancy.

Dr. Kissinger’s appointment further strengthens an already fruitful partnership with leading fish scientists at the University of Calgary.
