Summer field work begins for fRI Caribou Program

It has been a busy few weeks for the fRI Caribou Program training our new field crews for MPB and linear feature assessments across West-Central and and North-Western Alberta. Training included running through our safety program, field electronics, ATV courses for some, as well as of course learning the field protocols and plants.

Out of work the crews got to know each other while camping in Jasper, going for epic hikes and looking for beavers on the beaver boardwalk (all while being quizzed by Marlene on plants!). We wrapped up the final week with an end of training pizza party at Gus’.

Welcome back Amanda, Genevieve, Kaitlyn, Leonie and Marlene and welcome to the team Adam, Aimee, Brianne, Becky, Christine, Jennifer, Jillian and Sean.

Thanks to Doug, Karine and Kelsey for all their hard work during training.
