The Water and Fish Program is working with the Swan River First Nation to survey the Swan River watershed for Arctic grayling with both angling and backpack electrofishing methods. At the same time, MSc student Selina Walters is analyzing the catchability and capture efficiency of each method to improve future monitoring of Arctic grayling.
This poster presented an update on the project at the October 2026 Wild Trout Symposium.
